 Accenture to roll out bonus to over 2 lakh employees in India


The IT and professional services firm, Accenture has announced bonuses to most of its staff. Majority of Accenture's 2 lakh workforce in India will receive the bonus payout. 

While announcing the bonus payout, Accenture did not comment on the quantum of payouts, hikes or the number of promotions that it plans to give. 

The company has decided to offer the bonus payout at its 75% target amount in November. The sources said that the bonus payout is higher than what was paid in May. 

Accenture has given salary increments to junior and mid-level employees in the range of 6-11%. Accenture spokesperson said, "In addition to training, we have given meaningful pay raises and bonuses aligned to our fiscal year 2020 performance. 

We are planning for a significant level of promotions in our December cycle and remain deeply committed to pay equity." 

The company spokesperson did not specify the size of the bonuses or number of promotions. The company will continue to hire skilled techies in India. 

In September, Accenture laid off 5% of its global workforce. India has 2 lakh out of 5 lakh employees of Accenture. 

Accenture spokesperson also said, "We increased training hours by 6 per cent, spending approximately $900 million and leveraging our robust digital learning platforms. 

Since March 1, 2020, in our technology services alone, we trained more than 70,000 of our people in the hot skills needed by our clients, including cloud and infrastructure collaboration tools."
